Renee Lynch Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
HELLO, Today I'v got a super fun and cute card to share with you. Iv been playing around with the Magical day stamp set from Stampin' Up! I absolutely adore this little unicorn and when I got it my I automatically thought rainbows! The sketch is my main inspiration and it is created by the lovely Teneale William she is our team leader and she created these lovely sketch challenges for our team to hop along with each other. In front of me in this hop is Maree.
Here is the sketch
Here is the sketch
Here is the pretty unicorn card.
To create the background I used sponge brayers and three ink colours Melon Mambo Daffodil Delight and Pool Party. You can see in the video below the technique I used. Basically I covered the first third of the shimmery white card with Melon Mambo starting from the top each time to increase the colour. I then started with Daffodil Delight and overlapped the Melon Mambo. Finally I finisged of the final third with Pool Party and again overlapped it with the Daffodil Delight. I then came back over the colours again to blend them more. As the colours overlap and blend they create the orange and green that create the rainbow effect.
I coloured the unicorn with Stampin' Blends and mounted it on a dazzling diamond glimmer paper cloud on a stitched circle cut out of Pool Party card. Finally I added the sentiment on Melon Mambo and the Whisper White bow.
I hope you enjoyed this technique and that you enjoyed the video.
