I just love Christmas and enjoy making cards for my friends and family.
With this card I decided to use a non traditional colour pallet
Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Very Vanilla!

playing around with this card it could be such a great template for so many cards, baby cards, first birthdays cards the list could go on!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

With some help from this weeks sketch.......

......Here is a chrissy card I created!

Ok so I cheated a little and changed the sketch around but isn't that the
beauty of these sketch  challenges, inspiring creativity?

I really enjoyed playing with the bow builder punch, it is just so sweet
and id almost forgotten I had it.
I feel that it finished my card off beautifully!

Finally the inside of my card. Just super simple to allow me to add lots
of Christmas cheer closer to the day!!

Pretty Water Colour,

Hello,
and welcome to another INKspired Blog Hop! Just before me on the hop is Marlene if you have come for her blog I'm sure she didn't disappoint!
I cant wait to hop all the way around the girls to see what they have created this week!

This week were working with the most beautiful sketch!

Here is the sketch.

Isn't it stunning!
I'm totally in love with water colour at the moment!

I had a play around with a few ideas and this is what I came up with!

I had a brief this week to make a congratulations
card for a friend to give to her mum!

I asked her to pick three colours to help me design something she would like.
She chose Gold white and turquoise.

I think its always harder to make a card for someone to give to someone else, but I love
the out come and I hope she does too.

I did go more towards the mint green than turquoise but I felt it gave the card a calm feel as the turquoise was too loud!

I cut out the YOU out with the little letters thinlite dies and the big shot!
my best tips for this is to use a little
washi tape to hold down the letters while you
are putting it through the big shot. This will help to stop them from moving!!

Thank You for stopping by!

Next up is the beautiful Narelle

This is the sketch for this week

Iv decided this year to get in early and enjoy making my Christmas cards.
I'm one of those people who makes heaps and heaps of Christmas cards but I always leave it until the last minuet, that is not going to happen this year!!

Here is the chrissy card I made.
I had a bit of fun with the new delicate ornaments thinlits, these are so cute and the ideas for how to use them are endless!

The strip of DSP down the side of the card is from the English garden stack.
Iv added a hint of bling with the two gold twine and thread as well.
This card would be super easy if you had to make so many! (like me)

Enjoy your fathers day everyone

Happy Fathers day to my daddy!!

Dads the word this week!

Welcome to another INKspired Sketch blog hop!
I'm sure that Narelle has shown you all some beautiful work.

Wow how the weeks are flying by and its scary to think Christmas is in the back of my mind, approaching super fast! We also have a new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue coming out soon full of CHRISTMAS, so it has got me super excited!!

(Ok Renee take a deep breath
and calm down!!)

This week however the focus is on my Dad as its his birthday today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

This is the sketch that wonderfully kind Teneale presented us with this week!!

Ok so I must admit I'm a straight lines girl or like a circle kinda girl!!!
This was a testing sketch as I just wanted to straighten all the pieces and layer it up. However I restrained and stayed true to the sketch! Yay me!!

Here is the finished product!

I do really love this stamp set its so fun and super versatile.

I made the background by cutting the balloon shape out of a piece of scrap
paper with the Balloon framelits.
I then used it as a template and sponged in Real Red, Daffodil Delight,
Smoky Slate and Island Indigo.
I overlapped them so don't be scared to go a little crazy, as at first I was scared to overlap them but in the end it looked much better to have it a little random.

This final picture is the inside of the card

Here I used both cut outs of the balloon framelits. The out side one as my main template but also the actual balloon shape to put over the balloon I previously sponged to make each image crisp and not blend each colour together with my sponge.

I hope I have given you some inspiration this blog hop.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
However I'm going to go and enjoy some watermelon cake!

Have a great day and go and get some ink on those fingers!

More and more babies

Hello and welcome to another INKspired blog hop! Before me on the hop this week is Maree McIntosh and I'm sure she has something interesting to show us!

This Blog hop I have babies on my brain with my second sister due to pop any day and baby showers popping up here, there and everywhere ekkk!!! How exciting!!

SO with babies obviously my choice of topic this week I set out to create something fun and cute with this sketch as my guiding light!
(with thanks to Teneale Williams xx)

I didn't like this sketch to begin with however it grew on me and by the end I had created two cards! WOO HOO go me!! LOL

So first it was the boys!

I just love this large bread tag! Here I cut it out of soft sky and then pierced around the out side using the paper piercer and a template out of the eclectic paper piercing pack.
The joy and the cute little bows either side of the baby banner were cut out of brushed gold paper, isn't it just sweet.

I love the little Toucan out of zoo babies stamped in Mint Macaron.

 Then its the girls turn!
With this card I turned the sketch on the side.
The tag I cut out of blushing bride and the tea doily behind makes it so pretty for a sweet new baby.
This time I used linen thread for the bows and a very vintage button!

I then pierced around the out side of the card, I feel this finished the card off.

Thank You so much for stopping by!

Teneale is next up.
